DisapprovalAvailability consistency

Fix "Inaccurate availability" disapprovals on Shopify

The error

Inaccurate availability (page crawl)

What it means

Google compares the availability in your feed and structured data against what it sees when it crawls the page. If your data says in stock but the product is sold out, or the reverse, Google disapproves the product for inaccurate availability.

Why it happens on Shopify

On Shopify this happens when structured data caches a stale availability value, when an app marks the whole product out of stock while some variants are still available, or when a product is hidden rather than marked out of stock.

How to fix it

  1. Keep the availability in your structured data in sync with real stock. If any variant is purchasable, at least one offer should be InStock.
  2. Never delete an out-of-stock product to fix this; mark it out of stock so its history and ranking are preserved.
  3. For variant products, make sure each variant's offer reflects that variant's real stock status.
  4. Re-crawl or request re-review once the data is consistent.
